The product itself is 4-stars, with 1 star removed because of false-advertising. The picture of the girl happily strapping this onto her shoulder is complete BS. This thing weighs around 70 lbs! There's another picture of 3 people on the sailboat at the same time. Maybe that's possible for a photo shoot, but realistically you won't be able to take 3 people out on this.Aside from that, the product is very fun. My 7-year-old son and I took it out this weekend. We had a lot of fun. It sails ok when there's enough wind. We flipped over once with a bad combination of wind, a strong wave and me switching to the wrong side. Luckily, we had life vests and my son and I were able to swim to shore. (Wear your life vests!)The instructions are very well written. It's in proper English, so you won't misinterpret them. Each step clearly explains what you are to do in that step, then explains how to do it. The pictures were also helpful. Some reviewer said that the instructions were too detailed. I very much appreciated that detail, and I think most reasonable people would, too! With that said, after you do it once, it seems fairly easy to do it again without the instructions.Drying it off and packing it up was straightforward, too. There's a good chance of getting water inside the air bladders, so it's best to let the air out away from the water. It also helps to let it dry with most of the air inside. The outer shell that covers the air bladders can get water trapped inside. So, you will want to lift it from the front end to let the water drain out the holes near the back. The wheeled container that it comes with is useful. It is big, though, so keep that in mind when wondering if it will fit in your car! In our mid-sized SUV, we had to drop a back seat to get it to fit. The bag won't fit in our sports car, but all the parts will fit if you refold the boat appropriately.

Ich verwende den Multisport 270 hauptsächlich zum Segeln. Funktioniert echt gut.

Please be very careful if you decide to buy this product. The only way to tell if it is for you is to set it up and stick it in the lake. The problem is that at that point, it is no longer in "brand new condition" and you cannot send it back. I first set it up at home inside and the assembly and instructions were just OK. The issue concerning how much air to put in is very important in that too much and there is no way to clip the forestay to the pad eye. You then have to start letting air out until you can get the forestay attached. The same goes for the keel and rudder. You have to guess how much air to put in it. So, inside in controlled conditions, the assembly is clumsy but doable. I will lay money that this is where the assembly instructions were written rather than lake side.At the lake is a whole different story. I took it out to the lake in 10mph (a fairly light breeze) and fought it tooth and nail to get assembled. You need to essentially reverse the order of assembly to get it together and spend a fair amount of time putting air in and out of it trying to get it right. I finally was able to get it assembled, but was really disappointed that a fun day at the lake had turned into full combat. Once I figured out a totally new assembly order, I jumped on and took off only to discover that, in spite of repositioning my body, the sailboat/raft would skitter sideways when trying to change tack. It loved to jibe, but given it is so light in the water it also loved to plow sideways, blow over, and otherwise misbehave, though like I said above, it particularly refused to swing through the wind to change tack. In my opinion, it lacks the ability to truly to tack. Maybe if the wind was less than 5 mph or so it might, but at a certain point, maybe I should just paddle the raft. In short, I felt like I was wrestling a steer for a few hours. People on the dock watching had a good laugh.According to the guidelines, I can't discuss the biggest issue of buying this product so now I too am stuck with a very expensive raft that promised so much more but failed miserably. If you want to do a little sailing, I would strongly suggest you avoid this hybrid junk and save your money to buy something real.

This is a 4 in one equipment: it can function as a sailboat, windsurfing board, kayak or mattress. I used it as sailboat and windsurfing board. It is pretty easy to assemble. It takes about 15 minutes to put it together - inflating the mattress, putting the mast and the keels. First time thought it can take you two hours or more, until you figure out how everything works. The instructions are too detailed and it takes time to read everything and make sure you followed them properly. A lot of things are obvious. As a sailboat it is pretty easy to drive. The sail itself gets tied up at the back of the mattress so you only take care of the rudder. This is the easiest sailboat ever. It easily holds two adults. My friends were very impressed. One thing to be cautious is a combination of high wind and high waves. In high wind when you jibe, make sure you quickly switch on the opposite side from the sail - basically on the side where the wind is coming from. The wind might be strong enough to tip over the entire boat if you sit on the wrong side. The aluminum mast is light and strong for the force of the wind, but not strong enough if the waves capsize the boat, turn it over and the mast hits the ocean (lake) floor. My mast broke down, the middle segment was twisted and ripped apart. I have to order new aluminum pipes now. Always wear a PFD when using this equipment. The wind can easily take you far from the shore and if your boat capsizes a PFD is a life saver. As a beginner windsurfing board I only used it two times. It is hard to stand on it, and it is easy to lose balance. But it is a lot of fun. Using only the sail you can steer the boat any direction you want.Although I did not use it as a kayak, I always took a paddle from a normal kayak with me when I use it as a sail boat, just in case. The paddle from a normal kayak seemed to be too short to easily paddle on either side so I guess in order to use it as a kayak you need a much longer paddle.Overall it is a great equipment, you can have a lot of fun and it is the easiest sailboat ever. It can give you a sailing experience a much cheaper price than buying a normal sail boat. It is a great equipment to have it on the beach. Again be aware when using this equipment: always were a PFD. In high wind it can easily capsize and a PFD is a life saver.

Putting it together for the first time was a small challenge for me but I got it done. I'm not very mechanically inclined so assembly would be much easier for others. The boat sails great and I'm learning how to gauge the wind. For a beginning sailor this boat is totally awesome. Worth every penny. I only use it as a sailboat as that's all I'm interested in, and as a sailboat I totally love it. I've used it twice so far and I can already assemble it in about 15 minutes right at the shore of the lake. Big big fun. These things are probably going to be popping up all over the place at lakes all over the nation.
