What i liked most is that she doesn't just throw some mind blowing facts, but she builds and construct the ideas and the discoveries with us. Amazing book

If you like her youtube channel, you should definitely check out this book. And if you don't know about the yt channel watch it, the videos are great.

Having a scientific background I hesitated to buy this book for fear that it was too dumbed downIt is certainly no challenge technically, but Becky’s effusive passion for her subject and adorable style makes this a real gem

This book was very professionally written; simple and understandable (it is hard to be able to explain such extreme phenomena easily ). I recommend it to everyone who wants to know what blackholes are and the history of their discovery.

If a book consists of 50% footnotes, you know it's scientific.If 50% of those footnotes are Taylor Swift references, you know it was written by Dr Becky.Five stars.

Pretty happy with the content.However, the book is a bit weird to fold open as the cover is quite stiff.Worth the price and well suited as a gift for someone who is interested in science stuff and maybe already watches her YT :)

I pre-ordered the book after watching her vids on YouTube and saw the annoncement. Her videos are funny with really good information behind. But when reading a book, which tries to "reproduce" the "funny language" of the vids, it can get tiring. This is a personal opinion, others may be fine with that or even love this. I returned the book after reading of ~15 pages. Sorry.
