I’ve been wanting to get back into clay sculpting, so these tools caught my eye. I have to say that I was quite impressed with this set offers for the price. Some of the tools feel a little more durable than others, but they've included a really nice variety of edges and shapes to work with. Several of them are double-sided, featuring a different tip at each end, and I like that versatility.These aren’t top of the range, but I think $13.99 is a very reasonable price for what you get. This would be a good choice for beginners, or for those who just want to add some affordable spares to their current collection.My rating: 4.5 stars

These are really good starting tools for your pottery. Some of it won't last you that long, but others will actually last you throughout your entire career. Having this is a great start because you can be sure which tools you happen to use the most depending on your designs. You'll only have to get better versions of the trimming tools you use the most. The other ones can last you almost in your pottery sculpting career. It's a great set to get anyone that's just starting out in pottery. If you know someone involved in pottery for over a year, however, it's best to hit your local pottery store and asks for which things you can get potters even if they already have.They'll probably tell you: batts, wire tools, etc. to name the few.

I have been doing some action figure modelling, using sculpting clay and modelling putty, I really needed the sculpting tools, they do make it so much easy to mould the material.In the packets, which you get two, there are variety of tools. There are a variety of shapes, hooks, sculpting tools, the first packet has dual tip ends, so you get double tools to carve and shape with. They are wood, so should last a while, the quality is pretty good. When working with clay you need good grips too. The second set of tools has more flat handled tools, so are more suitable for shaping and flattening.Pros: 2 sets of tools, first set is dual tipped with curve/cutting/shaping, second set is flatter tools.Cons: None!
