This is such a useful tool and I think everybody should have one of these in the car.They are designed that in an accident if you are upside down and you cannot unclip your seat, one end of these is a hidden blade that will slice through the seat belt, also it will go through the harness on a baby seat.The other end of the tool when you take off the lid is a strange looking circular, hollowed out end.This is the most important tool you could have.In an accident when you cannot get your doors open or if your car was in water and you could not open your open your doors or windows, you take this end of the tool and hit it against the window, pushing it down as you go.This will shatter the window, allowing you to escape.Such a clever little tool, it even has self adhesive pad for you to attach it somewhere hidden under your dashboard.This will keep it out the way of children and keep it safe.You get two tools in this box, you also get two circular pieces of glass to practice on.I was too scared to break that piece of glass, but I'm sure other people will be much braver than me.Fantastic value for money, this could save your life!

It works! 2 in the pack which is great for the price, I have looked at others online which are promoted via the American tele programme where they find missing people in rivers and lakes etc- they are far more expensive than this pack of 2. You get 2 circular bits of glass to test them out on, photo shows one intact and the remains of the other one that I experimented on. Placed in old shoe box to capture the glass, shattered as described- very impressive. Stuck one on my car dash. Would make an excellent gift for new drivers, life saving, crashing into a ditch can be enough to drown someone let alone deeper water. Always wanted one of these, very happy

I think cars should all come with these as standard, however it’s worth spending your own money to stay safe. You get two small devices that have removable caps to reveal the punch at one end and a shielded blade to cut the seatbelt at the other. I’ve tested the cutter on an old luggage strap and it went through it like a knife through butter. The spring loaded punch at the other end can be tested using the supplied glass demo discs included in the pack. You have two options with this: you can press it on the surface until the spring activates, or you can just strike it on the glass for the same result.As with any such device it’s only any use if you can actually reach it in an emergency. In this case you get two stick on clasps that allow you to place them within reach. In my case I’ve attached one next to each front car door, on the plastic section in the corner of the door.For the price they’re a bargain and certainly worth it when you consider the dire situation you could be in when you need them. Highly recommended.

I was surprisingly impressed with these. Nice and compact with a stick on mount so easy to locate in an accessible location in the car, front and back. For obvious reasons I haven't tried the seatbelt cutter but I have no doubt it will work. The set comes with two circles of toughened glass you can test the breakers - confirmed they indeed break glass. It took two attempts (didn't hit hard enough the first time) but second time shattered the glass well and truly. If you go for these and test them out be warned the glass shatters with a real bang and the bits go everywhere!This is a review of an item received free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I make my reviews as objective as possible and only award 5 stars if I feel a product is really worth it and is something that I would be happy to buy.

Got this 2-pack to keep one in each car, and I’m really glad I did. They’re well-made and feel very sturdy in the hand. The tungsten steel tip gives me confidence that it would actually work in an emergency (hopefully I never have to test it!). The seatbelt cutter is built into the handle and looks sharp enough to get the job done if needed.They’re lightweight but not flimsy, and they come with mounting brackets which make it easy to store them in reach, I put mine in the driver-side door pocket. For such a small price, it gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing I’ve got a way out if I ever got trapped in the car.Highly recommend as something every car should have but most people overlook until it’s too late. Great to give as a practical gift too.
