These snack bags are a nice idea for kids. The bags are wipe clean inside and out and then have a little water mat attached to the back of each bag with velcro.I think the set must be intended to be used by only one child with two different sized bags (and water mats) as there's only one water pen provided but any water pen from an aqua mat or even a small brush and some water would work to make a mark on the mat.The water pen is made up of an absorbent core that sits in the water and draws it up to the tip, which is a bit like a felt tip. It doesn't seem as sturdy as a normal water pen that you get with aqua mats and I know that it wouldn't last long in the hands of my 2.5 year old!Still a nice idea but just be aware that the set only comes with one pen if you were intending to use the bags for two children.

This is such a good idea. My son (who is rarely seen colouring in) sat for ages using the water pen to reveal the rainbow pattern! The food pouches are good quality and great for snacks on the go. This will definitely be coming with us every time we go out now.

Perfect for carrying sandwich, wraps, vegetables sticks on days out, picnic or on holiday, the best alternative to the traditional snack pots, good quality and the water mat keep my son entertained with no mess. Another great idea from Tidy Tot

These are two small plastic lined cloth bags with velcro fastening. The bags are held closed by the velcro but are not sealed closed. Therefore the bags aren't for small loose things like loose cereal or for chopped fruit that would brown in the air. They are good for grapes and small snacks in there own containers such as raisins or a small wrapped sandwich. The bags are easy to wipe out and can be machine washed at 30° according to the label. Each bag has a matching hand loop. A velcro patch on the back is the place to attach the water doodle ( which should not be machine washed) . The product label/"I belong to label" doubles up as a very tight pen loop holder. I did find it difficult to withdraw the pen from this. The two bags are different sizes: small and smaller still. They would be good for a toddler: the larger of the two small bags for the savory and the other for the sweet. Each has a matching size doodle mat. These work well but are of course small and can only be used again when the water has dried. The fact that there are two means a new mat can be given with the sweet and the little nibbles and plays throughout their meal.I think that the bags are limited in what they can contain but are reusable and I think the doodle mats are a really good idea. I think that £15.00 is 8-10 pounds more expensive than they need to be. They are nicely made and the pictures are reminiscent of traditional children's books. There are two bags and one pen so really only suitable for one child.

I think we are all growing more aware of our responsibility toward the planet and are making efforts to live a more sustainable, eco friendly lifestyle. I have already moved away from traditional kitchen wrapping products such as cligfilm, in favour of beeswax wraps and find these great, so I was really eager to try these reusable snack bags. Each bag is made from PVC and BPA free material which is food safe,and can be cleaned easily and thus reused. The bags are decorated with bright, child freindly designs - I chose farm and train designs, but other prints were available. The bags have a little carry strap, which is nice, and have velcro closings. On the rear of each bag is a rainbow doodle mat - One pen is supplied which can be filled with water, and will then make marks on the doodle sheet. This does add a fun aspect to snack time, and would be quite useful for keeping children entertained while on the go. I was a little disappointed that only one pen was supplied, as you might expect one per bag. However, the bags are of varying sizes and so are probably intended for use by a single child, therefore only needing one pen. The bags are a good size for snacks, but I would struggle to fit a sandwich inside, which is a little disappointing. The bags are really well made and bright, and are a great concept. However, I found the set of 2 a little expensive, at £15, considering the size of the bags.
