This a great book for toddlers

tal cual aparece en el anuncio, el cuento en muy buenas condiciones y con ilustraciones muy bonitas. Llegó a tiempo genial!!

I bought this book for my 4-year old, sometime very impatient son (as kids often are with our complicated adult world things :)) He gives up easily frustrated when can't manage a task he set himself to work out. Wich is why i loved the bottom line of trying and trying and then letting things go at the point of frustration only to come back to them and look at them from a different angle.I love the illustration and the amount of pictures as well as the layout throughout the book. It is fun to read together and the story can be "read" also by the kids. My son likes to reverse read stories to me, which is sometimes not easy as they don't have enough pictures to enable him to get the whole story.There's only 4 stars as both my son and i were a bit dissapointed of the "invention" itself as we were expecting a machine-thingie or something more magical... just something capable of solving a more complicated issue maybe. But that is only because one of our favourite stories shows a rube-goldberg-machine-illustration which my son was fond of building himself ever since he saw it and some of the try-out-version the girl works out look a bit more like a robot, i guess. But that shouldn't spoil anyone elses reading adventure. It's a vey smart magnificent thing after all :)

Ein gut gemeinter Versuch.. Das zugrunde liegende Konzept ist gut, aber die Geschichte selbst ist ziemlich schlecht geschrieben. Ich gab das Buch an den Verkäufer zurück.

Schlußendlich schaffen es das Mädchen und ihr Hund aber dennoch.Die Geschichte ist wunderschön anzuschauen und auch an vielen Stellen mit reichlich Humor versehen. Ich bin mir allerdings nicht ganz sicher, ob dieser bei Kindern ankommt. Aber als Vorleser hat man so auch noch eine Kleinigkeit zu schmunzeln.Kinder können in dieser Geschichte nicht nur die liebevollen Bilder bestaunen. Sie können sicherlich auch etwas daraus lernen, denn nur weil es mal nicht so läuft wie gedacht, muss das noch lange nicht das Ende der Welt sein. Wie auch das Mädchen in der Geschichte, darf man sich nicht von Rückschlägen aufhalten lassen. Vielleicht sollte man sich etwas ablenken, auf andere Gedanken kommen, wie auch das Mädchen und das Problem von einer anderen Seite betrachten und plötzlich sieht es eben nicht mehr so unlösbar aus. Man muss und darf nicht einfach aufgeben!Fazit:The most magnificent thing ist eine Bildergeschichte, die sich gut zum Vorlesen eignet, aber sicherlich auch als ein Buch, welches Kinder, die schon des Lesens mächtig sind, gut allein lesen können. Die Bilder sind wunderschön auszusehen und man kann einiges aus der Geschichte machen, wenn es darum geht Kindern den Umgang mit Enttäuschungen zu veranschaulichen.5 Sterne
