If you want to sleep in your Tesla, this is a very good mattress.It is made from memory foam so it is comfortable.It comes in three parts. It assembles in seconds and holds itself in position without any gaps as it fits the shape of the car.It comes with a fitted sheet which is essential and a great feature – it feels more natural when sleeping and helps to protect the mattress from odours and sweat.It comes in its own bag.

A few years back, I bought a mattress topper to throw in the back of my estate car and as an easy alternative to a tent.This Telomat is a tailored version of that idea and arrives in a fairly inauspicious cardboard box, but that belies the actual quality of the product.And of course, Model Y offers advantages in design over that old estate car - which was limited by its lower roofline, relative to the folded flat interior.The Telomat comes in three memory foam sections that combine in tandem with a cover to create a mattress that follows the interior contours of the car, maximising the space and fitting neatly for comfort.The thickness is good, and while not as deep as a conventional mattress, being memory foam, it provides an adequate cushion on which to sleep.The three-piece design allows the mattress to be stowed away in the car's "sub-trunk" ie under the bonnet and has a nice carry bag for that.This perhaps does underline this is a relatively bulky thing. Still, mattresses are, and even the more compact alternatives such as an air bed are not much more compact. Even when deflated - as they either have built in a pump or require a pump in addition - which makes for a carry bag at least size package.And these would not work as well (or at all) inside a vehicle, taking up more space, nor do I think they are as comfortable or as reliable as memory foam.The price point is £199.99 at the time of writing, which, at first glance, is around twice the price of a good-sized memory foam mattress topper.However that won't be precut to fit, nor will it have a fitted cover or be split for storage in a carry bag - which do add to the convenience and function of this product.If you want to camp in your Model Y, I think this product is well worth consideration.
