Bought it because the product description said it can be open one-handed. XR lock was far difficult to use with one hand. Returned it. Sad, because it's a nice looking knife and seemed like it would be durable.

Cool color choices but they seem to be mostly plastic, but still with a sturdy feel. Very tough and sharp blade that deploys with power since it is spring loaded. Nice handle design that looks and feels good in the hand. I thought the locking mechanism was just a gimmick until the thumb studs got caught in my pocket while trying to remove it and the blade sprung open while still in the pocket. Overall, it is a cool looking knife that is tough enough to be an actual work knife.

I like everything about this knife with one exception. I love the colors, the blade design and the locking mechanism. My only small dislike is the difficulty in releasing the blade. It is quite a push to get it to deploy. I am hoping it gets better with usage.Otherwise quite happy.

Purchased as a gift after I have received one of the Aegis models as a gift myself. These knives are very sturdy extremely sharp and hold an edge for a long time. The safety mechanism is a great addition and the placement of the pocket hook is smart. Recipient of gift thoroughly enjoys this piece and uses it often. I recommend for anyone looking for an excellent knife with practical use and sturdy build.
