What made me choose this glass dip pen was its good review and stunning looks.Sadly, the best thing about the glass dip pen is really just its looks. With the beautiful penholder it is a nice accessory on the desk.The pen itself, the most important item of the whole package, underdelivers. It is scratchy and sadly there is no feel of the "gliding over the paper" that you would hope from a glass pen.Looking at the tip, I can see why. The tip is cut off in an angle (this is bad) and polished lazily.One point off.Next, the dip pen does not hold the ink evenly. This means, depending on how you hold the pen, it will release way too much ink onto the paper. So you have to learn how to turn the pen, to get proper results.Another point off.Finally, the ink. I don't know why they even add the ink. It's terrible ink and it bleeds like crazy.Wanna draw a line? Just forget it. The ink will make your line look like a moldy miniature mandelbrot set.Another point off for that.I've tried the pen with proper quality ink too, and of course there was no bleeding. But it felt clearly worse than my regular metal-tip fountain pen. This glass dip pen is sadly not manufactured well.Other points of interest:- When opening the ink, it's best to wear throwaway latex gloves. There are plastic-corks that you have to take off ink will spew around your hands and desk (or your clothes if you're really unlucky) when opening it.- Don't throw the plastic-corks away. The ink has glitter in it, which always goes to the bottom of the bottle. If you try to shake the ink bottles without the corks, well, the lid is leaking.- The small glass cup is different from the picture. More importantly, it is smaller. Almost too small, but just almost.

Die Bestellung wurde mit Tesafilm zugemacht, weswegen danach Spuren verblieben als man es abnehmen musste. Zudem war das kleine Glässchen Im Set beschädigt. :(
