A heavier, well-made quality Wok with 'induction' built in. Cooks to perfection and is easy to clean. Keep all your 'metal utensils' well away from your food preparation only use wood and or other heat-resistant implements.

Voor inductie een fantastische wok, wordt extreem snel en goed warm. Anti-aanbak laag blijft ook extreem goed werken.

Der Topf weist bereits nach zweimaligen Einsatz Kratzspuren auf, obwohl stets nur mit Holzkochlöffel umgerührt wurde. Weiteres ist auch die Wärmeleitfähigkeit bei einem Ceranfeld nicht ausreichend.

Si tratta di un wok della marca Scanpan, di cui utilizzo anche altri prodotti come l'altrettanto buona . Il wok è ampio 32 cm, una dimensione abbastanza normale per questo genere di pentole. Si scalda bene sul fondo, mentre permette di tenere una temperatura meno elevata sui bordi della padella, per non far bruciare gli alimenti in preparazione. Lo utilizzo su induzione, con un'ottima resa. Viene venduto in set con una coppia di bacchette in legno e una piccola griglia, il cui uso è quello di far scolare i fritti prima di servirli, mantenendoli al contempo caldi mentre si friggono altri pezzi. Il materiale antiaderente con il quale è rivestito è davvero solido, tanto è vero che il fornitore ammette l'uso di posate anche metalliche, che non scalfiscono la protezione (non ho mai provato, però...). La pentola è piuttosto pesante, ma visto il genere di cottura (non è un saltapasta!) non sarà un grande problema. Il costo è importante (quasi 150 euro quando l'ho acquistato io) ma la padella sembra indistruttibile e vi accompagnerà per certo a lungo.

I use this and its companion frying-pan on a ceramic stove-top. The pan is sturdily constructed and the handle stays reasonably cool. The non-stick finish is excellent, and after several months has just the odd scuff-mark. I treat the pan with kid gloves and although I have no reason to doubt that it can be safely used with metal utensils and put in the dishwasher, as the instructions claim, I don't take any chances. Warning: its weight requires strength; the extra handle is necessary if, like me, you don't have particularly strong wrists. The warming-rack and sticks are fine.

In a moment of weakness, I purchased this wok to replace an old one that I used regularly. The day that it arrived I was second guessing myself due to the price of the pan. I decided to keep it and I am so glad that I did. I cook with this wok every day, and usually a couple of times per day. It is by far the best constructed and performing pan that I have ever owned. I do not abuse it but am not gentle with it either, and after nearly 5 months and 200 meals, it looks and cooks like brand new. Clean up is a breeze and food leftovers slide right off even if they had been burnt on. (Not a test, just poor cooking skills). The only downside, and this I guess, is also a testament to the quality, is that the wok is heavy, very well built. If you have the means, do not hesitate to purchase this wok. From the experience that I have had with it so far, it looks like it could last a generation.
