Love these. Were a gift for my partner.Yeah they are expensive for Salt and Pepper Mills but they are high quality and look and feel great.

The salt and pepper mills look very nice and feel high quality but the performance is not so good. The knob often likes to unscrew and you need to shake and stomp the grinder so it grinds consistently.

Die Qualität ist für eine Mühle von Peugeot echt enttäuschend. Der Mahlgrad wird über die Kopfschraube eingestellt. Allerdings verstellt sich dieser während dem Mahlen von selbst, also wird lockerer und somit auch das Mahlergebnis grober. Nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

Die Mühlen sind ihr Geld wert.

Grinding mechanism is not as smooth as expected and the screw needs to be tightened occasionally. Overall OK, but not the expected quality

Even empty you can hear the difference in the smoothness of the grinding mechanism. After breaking several ordinary rock salt grinders because of how hard salt is, I started inspecting many grinders on the market and checking their warranties. This Peugeot Tahiti Duo Mill Set exceeds all my expectations and I am a picky person. The mechanism is so easy and smooth to grind rock salt and of course the softer pepper corns. The wood is turned and sanded to the smoothest, softest perfection and feel. The weight is balanced. As an artist, I like colors and these are beautiful shades. I had a hard time picking, wanting each color to suit different moods and seasons. Peugeot has been building its highest reputation since 1840 (it's the same company that makes cars too), so for nearly 200 years they have been making mechanical items and still manufacture their products in France. They warranty this Peugeot Tahiti Duo Mill Set for life. It is good peace of mind, and I doubt the warranty will be needed, but if ever it is, I have confidence Peugeot is likely to still be around. I ended up choosing the green mills because it is our son's favorite color and I fully expect him to inherit them, (just as my aunt inherited my grandmother's coffee mill which is over a hundred years old and still works, so it's not some fantasy.) I love this mill set. In my younger years I thought it was silly to purchase anything so costly, but over the years, I have ended up spending more money on multiple sets of less effective mills which were difficult to use, ended up breaking and each were a very poor value. The Peugeot Tahiti Duo Mill Set grinds very easily and are the much better value. I love how well it works and I highly recommend this item.
