I had my men's equivalent of this backpack for a few years now. Absolutely my favorite day-hike for all sorts of conditions. Got lucky and snagged one for review for my partner. The small is a perfect fit for a petite person (5'4"). We used it for hiking in the desert, perform superbly. My previous Osprey's backpack has lasted over a decade long. Even when my Gregory started peeling, the Osprey is still good to go with just some scuffles, and maybe need a few areas to sew to reinforce. This is very well built, ultra light (

So delighted with this pack!!I’ve struggled finding a perfect fitting adventure bag, and have gone though quite a few from big name brands, namely one that sounds like egg and begins with g. I was delighted to have the opportunity to test this one out.The first thing I noticed is how slim and narrow the profile is! This is something I think I’ll like, since I’m technically a woman’s xs/s when it comes to backpacks. The shoulder straps are more on the narrow side, but still have adequate padding to keep from pressure on the shoulders. The back panel is ventilated well and appropriately, with plenty of room for airflow and to keep sweat off of the back. The narrow fit works well as long as the pack is worn correctly, with the waist straps falling right at/above the obliques. The top loading aspect is nice, but this pack lacks a side loading option (useful for getting clothing or bedding out of the side, without unpacking the entire load). The waist straps are more than adequate to fit a phone, chapstick, or snacks. I tend to have a love/hate relationship with pockets like these, since I pretty much always feel like it’s impossible to zip them back up without taking off the entire pack—but it is slightly easier to do this with the the right pocket than the left (I’m right handed). The pack has ice axe straps on one side and the quick trek pole attachment on the other. I’m a little confused by this setup? As I typically hang my vertical work the back of my pack. For this feature, I’ll need to test out the pack in the wild before making an informed decision on it.Overall, even with the smaller features I’m not entirely on board with, I LOVE this pack!! The color is absolutely beautiful (like a subdued rosewood red, with charcoal grey accents).I couldn’t be more in love with this pack for a lightweight, higher-volume loading pack for ultralight trips or winter adventures (where additional gear is needed and a 20-30 liter pack won’t cut it).I would highly recommend this pack, and will update my review if I find any functional or logistical issues after I take it out for the first time.

I’m pretty happy with the product so far, I can’t wait to bring it on its first hike! The color is great and the quality seems great as well. My only issue is the price. I paid 260$ and yet, the tag on it says 190$. I feel ripped off and well, that’s not a great feeling… might look around to buy somewhere else with the right price…

This Osprey backpack is absolutely outstanding. From the moment you pick it up, you can tell it’s high-end and built with serious attention to detail. Yes, it’s on the pricier side—but you really do get what you pay for. The materials feel incredibly durable and premium, and the overall construction is solid. It honestly feels like a pack that could last forever.Size-wise, it’s a bit larger than a typical daypack, but not quite big enough for multi-day hikes. I’d say it’s perfect for overnight trips or situations where you need to carry a little more than the basics. The rigid internal frame adds great structure and makes it feel very sturdy, even when fully packed. One of my favorite features is the extra-wide waistbelt—it does an amazing job distributing weight to your hips, making it much more comfortable for longer treks. And the waistbelt pockets? Total game-changer for quick access to snacks, a phone, or other small essentials. If you’re looking for a backpack that blends comfort, functionality, and unbeatable build quality, this one is it. Highly recommend!

I have backpacked over 50,000 km. I know a lot about backpacks. This one is a pretty solid one. It has compartments. I like that it does not have any zippers because zippers usually fail. The only Exception is around the hip belt. Those will probably not fail anyway cuz they're so small. It has stiffness to it which is generally good if you're going to be carrying a heavy load. I like the fact that this cannot carry too much because we are all tempted to add too much equipment if we have too much capacity. So this is good for a long through hike, like the Appalachian trail or the Pacific Crest trail or the Continental divide trail. I have hiked all three of those.
