Used to pressurize a shower tank. Solid parts would buy again. Great value.

Put on a set of Corvette pace car wheels. I hate valve stem leaks and these eliminate that concern.

The most common valve stems snap into the rim hole. This works well up to about 65 PSI tire pressure. The snap in stem can pop out at higher pressures. In these applications - or for those of use who like a more durable stem - a clamp in valves stem is the solution. These stems attach to the rim with a nut and are suitable tire pressures higher than 100 PSI.In the USA car rims have a 0.435 inch diameter hole for the valve stem. Heavy trucks, and some of the light trucks use a rim with a 0.625 inch diameter hole. All snap in, and most clamp on, valve stems fit one size hole or the other. The beauty of this items is one item can fit either sized hole. This is accomplished by supplying two rubber seal rings, one for 0.625 and one for 0.435.There are other brands, but my experiences with off-brand snap in stems convinced me to stick with Milton or Camel. Maybe it doesn't matter with clamp on stems, but I chose to stick with a big name.I sure do like these! Snug fit (slightly diluted liquid dish soap is a good lube to make help get the seal shoulder into the hole), sturdy construction, comes with a metal cap (it's supposed to, anyway), and it fits any of my USA rims. I'll be getting more of these.I bought from Shop Eddies. The description says "box of 5". I received one. Just one. I contacted Shop Eddies and they replied with, "This appears to be a listing error." (but their listing is still there) and recommended I return it. Return it? But I ordered it because I wanted 5 of them. So I sent another message saying I would like to have the 5 valve stems they agreed to send me by taking my order.Which they did. I received the other 4 valve stems. There was an extra rubber seal ring in the box, and these 4 valve stems had metal caps - the first one I got did not have a cap.In the end, I did get what I ordered - but I had to pester them to fulfill the order as listed, and the first shipment was missing a cap and the second had an extra seal - I wonder who bought one and didn't get their share of seals... They were prompt in replying. In conclusion - I like the valve steams - and I will consider purchasing from Shop Eddies again, but they won't be my first choice.
