Metal is really hard to bend to adjust to the toes. And they are really thin rings, but hard metal.

These are made of a sturdier metal than other, cheaper toes rings I've had. They are a bit difficult to pry open wider so you can get them on your toe but they definitely won't break on you. I would wear them around the house in the position you want them for a bit while walking around so you know where is comfortable to put and keep them. The bottom ends can dig in if you don't put them in the right spot. Once I got them where I wanted them they are comfortable. Nice and simple and cute. I'm not sure about tarnishing but if they do, I will update.
