After putting up with a particularly noisy Fluval pump supplied with my aquarium, I decided to give this pump a try. What a difference! It's quiet, it has easily adjustable flow rates and does the job perfectly.As a general purpose pump it doesn't have a threaded outlet for the Fluval riser pipe to the outlet nozel supplied with my aquarium, however, this pump is supplied with a length of hose and an optional extra adapter. To fit the native riser pipe to this pump was merely a case of cutting a 2cm piece of the supplied pipe which pushed into the outlet on the pump and into the threaded inlet on the riser pipe. It works perfectly and can be either a short term measure whilst sourcing the perfect nozel to fit the supplied pipe, or just use it as it is (it works well anyhow).

I have a 70 gal. aquarium I bought this item to help me on water change day because I have a back problem.There tubing supplied was`nt long enough, but when I had bought a longer tube the pump performed brilliantly. Just place it in the bottom of a bucket and it pumps the water up into our aquarium job done.

The pump is excellent but the power lead was shorter than expected so I had to add an extension.

This little pump does what is expected . Be aware that it is intended for water features so has no pre filter and will clog up if used in water containing debris. The tubing is useless and arrived tied with elastic bands which have kinked it and no chance of it ever being usable as it is POLYTHENE and rubbish. Suggest you buy some from an aquatic shop .
