This is the first time I've used a garden hose holder, so I don't have other models to compare this one to, but so far I've been pleased with the Kingson Portable Garden Hose Holder. The frame holds my hose well and is attractive in my side yard. I don't know how I'll use the basket, but it looks nice. I was disappointed the holder wasn't on wheels, but I must have assumed "portable" meant wheels because when I look back at the description and pictures, the four prongs are clearly shown (not wheels), so that was my mistake.I'm not the person in our household who normally puts things together, but I assembled this one, and it took me ~40 minutes, which included my time redoing work because I made a few mistakes. The hose holder came with tools, but as another reviewer mentioned, the screwdriver wasn't the right size for the screws. (I still used it, but carefully, to avoid stripping the screw head, and, yeah, I admit this bit of laziness deserved the heavy sigh that I got later from my husband.)We just had a good rain, so putting it in the ground by foot was easy enough for me. I like it and think it's a charming addition to our yard.

If you use one-half inch vinyl hose and only store hose drained of water, I can see that it might hold the 150ft claimed. I use 3/4” rubber heavy-duty hose, and it is often hung up wet or not fully flaked out for use. For that size hose, fifty feet is about a full load for this device — by weight, not volume. Beyond that, the whole thing starts to feel a bit wobbly and unstable. Probably I could store 100 feet of full-size hose on this rack — if drained and done carefully. My 4-star rating is for 100ft of 5/8” or 3/4” vinyl hose — it would be lower for longer or heavier hose.Aside from the capacity issue, it is a nice rack — attractive and functional design; moderately sturdy. The basket is a handy place to store hose accessories near point of use. The kit of a dozen pieces goes together reasonably easily with the simple assembly diagram. A "single-use” wrench and screwdriver are thoughtfully included. Awkwardly, the provided screwdriver is a #1 Phillips, while the provided machine screws are #3 Phillips — be careful to avoid damaging screws or screwdriver if you don’t already own the proper size tool.My hose stand kit was delivered short one M6 x 30 machine screw and one M6 nut required to complete the assembly. I couldn't figure how to contact the seller about the shortage through Amazon. Returning the product didn’t make sense for the lack of one screw I can get from the garage or hardware store. The part shortage is on the seller, but the remedy is like 1-star rating for Amazon support — not really under control of the seller… The assembly diagram includes a customer support email address — not yet received reply or acknowledgment.Note that “freestanding” means “not screwed to the wall”. As the images in the listing make clear, it will not simply sit on a hard surface, but is supported by pressing the four spikes into a soil/lawn surface. Same as every similar appearing device.

I’ve needed a hose reel for a bit of time now and this is a great option. It had several pieces to put together, but the directions clearly showed how all of the pieces and bolts held it together nice and tight. It came with the cheesy little wrench, but a decent screwdriver to help assemble. Once it was all together it was very sturdy and looked really nice. I really liked the solid footing with 4 long spikes into the ground. You can see from the picture how it goes into the ground. Easy to get in using your foot and very sturdy when planted into the ground. Once in it held up the hose perfectly. It never felt like it would fall over and kept everything nice and neat. It definitely looks great and I expect it will work great for a long time. Definitely a good pick

The holder was easy enough to assemble, although the included Phillips screwdriver seems undersized (like a P2 size with P3 screws). I also ended up needing to use a rubber mallet to put it in the ground (block of wood & a hammer would also work), stepping on it using both feet with my full 160lbs didn't push it down very much, though my ground is very dry currently (you can see I even tried getting it moist) and ended up cracking a couple welds on the outrigger feet. We'll see how it holds up over time, but consider installing it after a rain or a good soak if the spot you want it has hard ground. It does look and function so much nicer than having the hose on the ground, getting overgrown by the grass!

I like it! I like that I could put it together without my husband's help. I am slow at assembling things (arthritis, small hands, sometimes I miss a step or don't pay attention & have to re-do something), and it only took me about 30 minutes. The instructions are good if you just slow down enough to notice a thing or two. At first I thought a couple of screws were missing but they were just already hooked to the pieces that needed them. :-)I like that there is a basket tray to hold things, that it is movable, and we don't have to drill into the house or fence to use it. I live in the desert so had to water the ground a bit to get it soft enough to put this in, but at least we get so little rain here there is zero chance of rust.
