My granddaughter lives in a place where the weather is warm most of the year. I got her a cute blue cotton top, and I decided to look for some matching cotton shorts to go with them to make a full outfit. These navy shorts should work great.These shorts are 100% cotton, which our family prefers. They are well-constructed of sturdy cotton knit that should survive the normal wear and tear of an active child. When I washed them in cool water and then tumble dried them, they did not seem to shrink or wrinkle. However, the waistband seems a bit tight. My granddaughter is 7 years old, so I ordered the size 7-8, but I think it might have been better to go with the 9-10. Hopefully, she will at least get to wear these this summer.It’s nice to have the back pocket, but I think side pockets would be more useful; otherwise these shorts are great. They look exactly like the photos online. The $20 regular price seems a bit high to me, but if you can get them for $12-15 they would make great shorts for gym class, cheerleading, tumbling, playtime or other active wear.

These shorts are a good find. The color is a nice green without being washed out or too bold. The material is very soft and holds up well in the wash. Definitely recommend.

These shorts are just ok, but not worth $20. My daughter is in between a size 6 and 7, so I ordered the size 7-8 to give her room to grow but they are waaaay too big. Even if they fit I still think they’re a bit thin, just average gym shorts you can buy at a big box store for half the price.

The sizes listed on the product page do not match the sizes listed in the size chart. According to the chart, my daughter is a size 10 by weight but a size 12 by height. I ordered size 11-12 years, hoping that it would correspond to size 12 in the chart. The shorts are about mid-thigh length on her and the waistband fits loosely without falling off. There is a drawstring at the waistband as well. I like that these are 100% cotton. These are listed as girls' shorts but there is no reason these wouldn't work for boys as well.
