Needed to install an irrigation system to enable holiday & our daughters unable to visit daily to water.Quite happy with kit but...no instructions. Had to Google several sites for advice as didn't have any experience or clue hiw to install. However, once in really efficient, affective & very happy. Would recommend but be prepared if you have no knowledge you will need s little longer to set up

This quick connector garden watering system is giving me a lot of options for redesigning my irrigation system for my raised bed garden. They provided three different hose bib connectors for American, European, or even a Universal fit for any faucet. It comes with an abundant length of both ½” hose and ¼” hose, and I can cut them as needed to connect to different nozzles and emitters with adjustable flow rates. I can even set up multiple runs to use at separate times, as there are switch valves provided. I can connect them in different configurations with the tees. There are plenty of emitter stakes that I can set up to spray over a large area of plants. I love how easy it is to use this Quick-Connect method. If I change my design, I can easily push in on the connector ends to disconnect and reconnect as needed. This is an amazing system that will save me so much time watering and will likely help me produce healthier plants and greater yields!

Works good the push to connect works better than the barb style just make sure they are properly seated (pushed in all the way) it helps to get the hose end wet before you push it in and make sure it’s a clean cut. I have a few different kits and this is the best one yet for a cheap kit I would definitely buy again.

I've used the smaller kits in the past and they all performed reasonably well (as long as the sprinkler holes don't get obstructed), but was drawn this year to expand the food garden. Currently in the process of digging up some of my older plants, but this kit pretty much covers the entire area. Whereas in the past I've always used the 1/4" hoses as the cores to supply the entire system, I actually prefer the 1/2" hose because it can deliver more water at a lower pressure. It's not a soaker/perforated hose though, so it's not a true low pressure drip system that can run off of a single rain barrel. Obviously, if you have larger areas those aren't exactly feasible anyway because you need the water to carry longer distances, so you'll still need to plug into a higher pressure faucet.Fortunately, with all the electronic valves I've tested, I found one that worked quite well with this kit so I cut all the hose lengths to spec and let the water flow. No leaks so far so I'm happy with the setup. I've always loved the quick connector system anyway so it's just a matter of getting used to the tightening. You don't even need the teflon tape for any of the terminal distributors.Getting the end caps on nice and tight right from the beginning is another key factor to prevent leaks on hotter days. I noticed this last year that after I shut off the supply, the water that remained in the system can get hot quickly inside of the black tubes when exposed to direct sunlight, steadily increasing the pressure. That's why I buried as many of the lines as I could; but you still need the end sprinklers to be pretty high up in order to optimize their range. I expect that the softer 1/2" hose will be even more susceptible to expansion cycles because of the greater surface area, which is why I'll definitely be burying it this year.So far though, with all the lines I have from last season (that fit perfectly with this system), I managed to have some left over which is great. The only thing that would've been nice to have is more 1/4" end plugs to cap off the barbed valves I won't be using (usually close to the fence). From the diagram in the product pics you'll see that the T-shaped distributor lets you run 2 cores, but you honestly don't need to if you have a smaller garden, since you can literally turn your core tube in a spiral of sorts. The switch valves are a nice addition I think that'll let me cut off the supply to drier herbs, but I've yet to figure the details out because planting is still a few weeks away (apart from the garlic of course). So far, I'm happy that everything came in great condition and the box was even heavier than I expected thanks to that larger hose. A great set for beginners looking for an efficient way of hydrating their garden without doing any work past the initial setup phase. Believe me, if you have little free time, it's absolutely worth it, especially with a scheduled timer on your supply valve (which is a must imo). We'll see how well it holds up in the long term.

I'm very happy with this irrigation kit which I received as a promotional item. It contains everything I need to get started in irrigation and provides numerous accessories for me to try out and figure out what's right for my system. I've dropped a star however as this is very expensive for a starter kit and doesn't actually offer a lot. For example, 8x 1/4" end caps is not enough for the price.
