Tools like this do seem pricier than I would expect, but having tried using jeweller screwdrivers to do the rare task of removing pins that I do, often to clean off corrosion, having the right tool makes all the difference; and if you regularly deal with motor, marine or other multipin connectors it is a worthwhile investment.A good variety of standards are covered here.
