If you need a pizza peel buy one of these. It can be expensive but well worth it. It is light, sturdy, easy to use and slides the pizza on and off with ease.

I'm the first one to review this. Awesome. Ok well I just purchased this to use with my industrial pizza oven that I have at home. I have to say so far this is an excellent item. My made from scratch pizza dough slides right off. So hopefully it will last a long time. A bit pricey but to me but it was worth it. The wood peels are just not sliding the dough off right. This is much better. I would definitely recommend this if you want to spend the money. UPDATE!! Since i have had it since 11/7/2016 it has been the best ever pizza peel to have. The pizza slides right off. No issues with this. AND made in italy. THE BEST PIZZA PEEL!!!.

Looked at many pizza peels. The wooden ones all seemed to have problems, designed perhaps more for traditional looks than everyday utility. The cheaper metal ones seemed to be just that - cheap. The G.I. metal peel is a quality tool, very well made, and the perforations seem to do their job, allowing the pizza to slide and the excess flour to fall through to the counter. I sprinkle the peel with a mixture of semolina and whole wheat flours to help the pizza slide; I like the taste and texture it imparts better than either corn meal or regular flour. A beautiful tool.
