This is a great, high quality garden hose splitter. Unassailable quality and ease of use. It gives you the option of 1-4 hoses and used with timers, you can set the varying watering needs of your yard or garden. I note that this version comes with threaded adapters to fit varying faucet or hose bib sizes. Being polymer, do not allow it to freeze, which applies to virtually all splitters. It does take a bit of use to memorize the correct rotation of the knobs, but that is a minor task. It costs more than the usual imported hose splitters, but for me the Gardena quality is worth it.

Der Gardena 4 fach Wasserverteiler ist ein gutes Produkt und verdient 5 Sterne. Nicht so der Händler Fa. Bauschmeisser aus Gera. Mit einem Preis von 48,76 € ist das Produkt überteuert. In Baumärkten und im seriösen Fachhandel erhält man den Wasserverteiler mit einer Preisspanne von 27 € bis 36 €. Selbst der UVP von Gardena liegt niedriger (41,59 €)Deshalb: Eigentlich 0 Sterne für solche Händler und raus aus Amazon.

Leider ist der Verteiler im 2. Jahr nach 3 Wochen kaputt gegangen. Das darf bei dem Preis leider nicht sein.

This was a very difficult product to find. Shipping time was long, however it was well worth the wait. This Gardena system is far superior to anything else like it on the market. We made the mistake of purchasing a heavy metal water distributor and after 6 months it developed leaks and could not be fixed. From what I have read online, it appears virtually all these metal systems break down in a year or less. Save yourself the money and buy Gardena - it is the best!

Ah, being able to get water where you actually need it. I love these distributors. I have multiple raised beds in my vegetable garden and was having trouble with water distribution across the beds. I had the perennially present problem of a lot of water in the first bed and no water in the last. Using this products valves I have adjusted each hose so that the right amount of water goes to each bed. I can even keep some beds wetter and some dryer. My well has good water pressure so I am irrigating 7 beds at a time. At my bib I have an Orbit timer that has one timed outlet and one for "regular use." Below the timer I have a Gardena Y splitter (see Gardena 36938 Garden Hose Y-Valve With Quick Connector) with one 5/8 inch hose going to the center of each cluster of beds. That is the location of this four channel water distributor. From this distributor I have a 1/2" hose running to each bed. I use the valves to control the amount of water into each bed. Because it is distributed by the device rather than gravity, water gets to all of the beds. As a side comment, the Y splitter gives me the same benefits. The left side of my garden has smaller beds than the right. I send 2/3 of the water to the right four channel distributor and 1/3 to the left. Total control!
