I am by no means an axe aficionado, but I can tell you…__This axe has a good balanced feel to it__There are two extra metal wedges (I was told that is what they are called) which I am assuming may need to be replaced over time given the fact that the axe experiences quite a lot of trauma from striking the wood after being thrown__The edge is sharp and I really appreciate that there is a rubber-like protective sleeve (I can't think of anything else to call it), but the piece that goes over the actual blade as a safety measure is reassuring that an accidental cut is less likelyBOTTOM LINE: I am pleased with this axe, and have been told by my Nephew who is familiar with such things, that the quality of this axe is good

I am into knives of all kinds and have quite a collection. I have saws and machetes but no throwing axe. This axe is so much fun, I should have started my collection with it. I was shocked when I stuck it the first time I threw it! Once I got the rotation down, I was able to increase my distance after just a short while. I love it. Now to brass tacks, so to speak. This axe is of as good of quality as any I have used meaning it should last. The handle is the right length and feels good in the bare hand. The head is forged well with no deformations. The convex grind helps the axe split wood better than a flat grind, and the edge is sharp, but not dangerously so. The weight is perfect for me. I appreciate the extra metal spacers just in case the head gets loose after a long time of throwing. As a novice,this was a great introduction to the world of axe throwing. Now if I can just get my wife and son to stop using the axe, I'll get back to my new favorite hobby. Highly Recommended.

Super Wurfbeil es liegt sehr gut in der Hand und ist gut ausbalanciert mit glatten Griff damit man es beim werfen besser aus der Hand gleiten kann plus es gab noch 2 extra ringkeile und einen gummierten Schutz der Schneide

I'll admit I'm not and never have been a skilled axe thrower. Now, I'm at the age that if I tried, I might cut off my toes. I do however, like sharp items, such as swords and knives, perhaps because long ago, I was a fencer. Recently, my eldest granddaughter decided to spend her (college) spring break with me in my mountain home. She has experience in throwing axes. While here, she spent several hour throwing this axe at one of the many large trees surrounding the cabin. Not all her throws were successful, so the axe was fully tested. She said the axe was a good one, though others she had thrown had more ergonomic handles. After many throws, the eye shows noticeable cracking. The seller's description says," Ideal for outdoor camping ..." Based on my long-ago outdoor camping days, it comes nowhere close as my favorite hatchet that weighs half as much, has many additional features, and is as sharp as most of my chef knives. In my opinion, this throwing axe is definitely not sharp. Never-the-less, I think this axe might be a good choice for a novice or occasional thrower.

I discovered a love of axe throwing a few months ago. Some friends and I went out to one of those axe throwing places and it was great fun. I decided that I need my own axe so I can do this with friends at home. I got this axe to try out and I am impressed. It is balanced and sharp! Nice throwing axe. It's easy to use and so much fun! Well worth the money. I recommend this axe!

This axe is OK if it is very cheap, and if you don't mind doing some sharpening. The axe arrived with a pretty blunt edge, only a little sharp on the very top and very bottom of the edge, but most of the edge is so blunt, it can't cut anything. I tried to get the axe to bite into some wood, but it won't at all, it just bounces off. You "may" need to do some extensive work on this axe head before you can use it, so keep that in mind.Other than that, the handle has a nice shape that feels good in the hand. The head seems to be mounted quite well, though the actual piece of wood used for the handle is not ideal.In conclusion, I don't think this axe is worth much, and I kinda regret ordering it, since I'm not willing to put a bunch of work into it just to be able to test it.
