This is a GPS speedometer- it's display is fully encased in a plastic housing and fitted tot he dashboard, or more likely windscreen via a suction arm. It requires a 5v DC supply with a micro USB to power it at all times and it must be in a position to get suitable satellite fix(es) to give an accurate speed indication- it therefore won't work in some areas and not inside tunnels, car parks etc where the sky cannot be seen. It's not a true HUDIn addition to speed, it can also show a compass bearing and does react to ambient light conditions. In performance it's ok, but limited- the need for a power lead limits it's application position in the. I did notice that the speed on my vehicles instrumet varied by a few MPH to this and hte compass bearing was also a little different- in the bearing, that's less of a probelm as roads go in general directions, but not knowing what the actual speed is becomes a problem.

Neat little digital speedometer that gets the speed from GPS. The unit is quite small and compact, it comes with a suction mounting bracket so the unit can be secured to the windscreen. The suction is good (and the unit itself is very lightweight) so no issues there. The unit is supplied by 5V USB power. On the back of the unit it has a micro USB female, it would have been nice to have seen the now more familiar USB C type connector though. The unit powers up quickly and takes only a minute or so to connect to the GPS satellites and to display your speed. There are numerous settings that can be played with, the speed can be adjusted slightly if not reading perfectly. The display is bright, shows a compass bearing when moving.Nice little unit - 4 stars.
