These are awesome and highly usable! I wish they came in a case for easier storage, but I've been able to compare them to other eyes I've been using for crochet toys and I feel like a lot of care went into the packaging all the same. For instance, they are in resealable packaging and have protective removable plastic over them so they don't get scratched in storage (never underestimate how important this is). There are lots of colors provided as paper circles or 'washers' that you can add behind the eyes to change the color! So cool! I would have liked a larger range of colors, but they have provided eight, which is a good selection (and you can pretty much print your own if you want to, I bet). I also wish there had been some size variety.

These holographic toy eyes come in 3 components, the main eye which is clear plastic containing a large round black pupil, the back washer and the coloured holographic iris piece made of thickish plastic. They come in 3 separate grip seal bags and I love the fact that the clear plastic eyes arrive covered in protective film of plastic to protect from scratches.I make crochet amigurumi toys and have so far only used the plain black beady safety eyes and was so looking forward to using these but sadly these just don’t work for me. The issue is the stork of the eye is too thick. I crochet with DK yarn and crochet tightly to avoid holes when toys are stuffed with filling. There is no way I’m going to get that blunt thick stork through my knitted toys. For those who work with thicker yarns or if you have other usages in mind this may not be an issue.Something else to point out is the big round black pupil isn’t centred, it’s a little to the side. This means when you push your safety back on securely you have to ensure that both pupils are in the correct position or your toy will look cockeyed.
